2nd meeting of the MCPFE Working Group on Exploring the Potential Added Value of and Possible Options for a Legally Binding Agreement on Forests

The second meeting of the MCPFE Working Group on Exploring the Potential Added Value of and Possible Options for a Legally Binding Agreement on Forests will be held on 19 - 20 of May in Oslo, Norway.

At this stage the group will proceed to formulate the frame for its work more precisely. In this vein, the meeting will touch upon the following subjects:
- State of play – the tasks, scope and road map for the working group,
- An analysis of pros and cons of the possible options for the content,
-
 The institutional arrangements as well as pros and cons of possible compliance procedures
Information on the progress with the MCPFE review process.

The Working Group is expected to deliver its results by the end of this year.
