The PROFOR closing conference “Policy of non-state forests in South East Europe (SEE)” will be held on 26 – 28 of May, 2009 in Fruska Gora, Serbia. The meeting will be organized by project partners jointly with FAO SEUR, the National park of Fruska Gora and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia.

The aim is to present the development of non-state forestry sector in Albania, Macedonia and Serbia and investigate on selected issues in the SEE sub-region. Among others, issues of livelihood generation, better governance of non-state forest management and the role of private forest owners associations in policy making processes like the NFPs of the countries will be addressed.
