30 June - 1 July 2010, Brussels, Belgium
Organiser: AEBIOM

A high level Bioenergy Conference and Exhibition will take place from 30th June – 1st July in Brussels. The debate will focus on the growing importance of bioenergy in Europe. The meeting will bring together EU decision makers and representatives from the largest EU bioenergy companies, project developers, entrepreneurs, financiers and national bioenergy associations.
The conference is organized under the auspices of the upcoming Belgium Presidency. It will bring together outstanding speakers from the European institutions, including the president of the European Commission Mr. Günther Oettinger. Furthermore, a number of high level speakers from the Commission will shed light on the EU legislation, including the implementation of the directive on Renewable Energy (RES) and biomass sustainability issues. Examples of National Renewable Energy Action Plans will help to assess the future perspectives in achieving the European 20% RES target by 2020.
This is the first time when the European Biomass Association (AEBIOM) and the REECO Group have pooled together to organise an international trade fair and conference. CEPF is one of the non-financial sponsors of this event.
