The increasing competition for forest resources will require new forest-related policies across different sectors. These policies need relevant, harmonised, comprehensive, reliable and up-to-date information. The Horizon 2020 project DIABOLO has brought together over 120 scientists and experts from 25 European countries/National Forest Inventories working in 33 organizations. DIABOLO provided new methodologies for more accurate, harmonized and timely forest information used for EU policy processes, international reporting obligations, forest administration and forest planning as well as for global monitoring systems. Please find more information here.
The DIABOLO final conference provides a unique platform for discussing and shaping forest information for bioeconomy outlooks in Europe. It gathers policy makers, scientists and stakeholders to support the development of EU policies and international processes relying on consistent forest information.
