MEP Lins’ draft LULUCF report published – Main issue on Forest Reference Levels remains unclear

On 23 February 2017, rapporteur MEP Norbert Lins, EPP/Germany, from the European Parliament Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (COM ENVI) published his draft report on LULUCF. The main issue for the Confederation of European Forest Owners (CEPF) continues to be the rules for establishing the Forest Reference Levels. According to these rules, Member States cannot take into account the full potential of the forest to provide wood for the growing needs of the bioeconomy. Read more
