European bio-based industries: 600 billion EUR turnover and 3.2 million employees
The Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) announced at its general assembly the results of the first extensive macro-economic study on the European Bioeconomy. The study was performed by nova-Institute using the EUROSTAT numbers of 2013 as the main source of data.
EUTR implementation: more effort from Member States and private sector needed
