CEPF is the umbrella association of national forest owner organisations in Europe. Representing family forestry in Europe, CEPF promotes the values of sustainable forest management, private property ownership and the economic viability of the forest sector. Based in Brussels, CEPF is a non-profit organisation, representing nearly 16 million forest owners. These are private individuals, families and cooperatives, which take care of approximately 60% of the European forest area. More information can be found at www.cepf-eu.org
Tasks
You will work within the CEPF team to contribute to policy and advocacy work. You will mainly carry out the following tasks:
- Contribute to policy work in areas of interest, such as CAP and rural development, climate and energy policy, bioeconomy, environment etc. (files to be determined depending on the candidate experience and expertise)
- Gather and analyse information at national level in areas of CEPF interest
- Support in framing CEPF positions and engaging with EU institutions
- Provide support for organising events and meetings
Competencies and skills
- MSc (e.g. EU law / political sciences / natural sciences…)
- Minimum 2 years professional experience
- Work experience from EU institutions or in EU advocacy
- Knowledge or a personal interest for forestry
- Good writing/editing skills
- Team player, with a positive attitude, sociable and reliable
- As the position include direct contacts with CEPF members, EU officials and EU stakeholders, the ideal candidate should feel confident with oral expression
- Full professional proficiency in English. Knowledge of other languages represents an additional asset
