CEPF fully supports the initiative “Offrons un chêne pour la restauration de Notre Dame de Paris” of the foundation of Fransylva, CEPF French member, to contribute to supplying oak trees that will be necessary to undertake the cathedral rebuilding. CEPF also proposes to provide one high quality century old oak per EU country, where available, as a symbol of European solidarity.

“Notre Dame is a French, European and global cultural symbol and heritage. Given the importance of wood materials in this monument, European forest owners are united to support and contribute to this restoration”  said Hubert de Schorlemer, CEPF President.
