CEPF, COPA and Cogeca, ELO joint letter to DG ENV Commissioner Potocnik on Financing Natura 2000 workshops
The member organisations of the Natura 2000 Users’ Forum are highly concerned about including non-intervention management in Natura 2000 discussions that are currently being held on alpine and boreal biogeographical processes.
According to the cascade principle, wood should be used in the following order of priority: woodbased products, re-use, recycling, bioenergy and disposal.
The Confederation of European Forest Owners (CEPF) highly welcomes the Commission communication as an important reference for a more coherent and coordinated approach to European forests.
The Communication for a new European Forest Strategy (EUFS) as published by the European Commission on 20 September 2013 is highly welcomed by the private forest owners.
CEPF, Copa-Cogeca, ELO, EUSTAFOR and USSE strongly oppose the draft text on sustainability criteria for solid and gaseous biomass currently in inter-service consultation in the Commission.
