The Confederation of European Forest Owners (CEPF) is the umbrella association of national forest owner organizations in the European Union. It works as the representative of family forestry in Europe, by promoting the values of private property ownership.
CEPF's mission is to assist and strengthen an economically viable, socially beneficial, culturally valuable and ecologically responsible sustainable management of private forests. CEPF serves the interests of the approximately 16 million forest owners. They are private individuals and families who take care of more than half of the forest area of the European Union.
These forests pass from one generation to the next through inheritance. The forests are not only inherited from our parents, they are on loan from our children.
