The developers describe the platform as an exhibition window to invite people to look for further information on forests. INForest includes 17 indicators regarding forest ecosystem services as well as social and economic aspects and depending on the need, new indicators can be added. As a new feature, when compared with other platforms, INForest also allows the user to compare the data between countries.
The platform is currently availabe in English, Russian and Polish but the number of languages is foreseen to increase and the users are welcomed to contact the platform administrators should they wish to contribute to translating the platform into their national language.
