The Meeting of Directors General of Forests organised under the French Presidency of the EU Council took place on 17 – 18 May 2022 in Strasbourg. CEPF Secretary General, Fanny-Pomme Langue, participated to the meeting which exchanged on topics related to forest adaptation and bioeconomy.
In the meeting, CEPF and Copa-Cogeca expressed jointly European forest owners’ views on adapting forests to climate change and the place of wood in bioeconomy in two statements:

On the second day, the Presidency took the participants to visit a state forest, with a particular focus on forest adaptation, followed by a visit to one of the main French sawmills.
