NORSKOG
Founded in 1950, NORSKOG is a membership-based organisation representing forest owners across Norway. The organisation focuses on policy advocacy and forestry consultancy, with timber trading and forest management managed through its subsidiary, NORTØMMER.
NORSKOG’s core areas of focus include:
- Policy development and advocacy
- Forestry advisory and consulting services
- Financial advisory related to the purchase and sale of forest properties
- Timber trade and silviculture
- Forest and property management
- Legal support
- Research and innovation

NORSKOG works politically to ensure favourable conditions for an active and dynamic forestry sector. It advocates on behalf of forest owners, with a strong commitment to defending private property rights and shaping policies that promote sustainable forest management, ensuring the long-term viability of the sector. With approximately 250 members, NORSKOG represents around 10-15% of Norway's national timber harvest.
