NORSKOG

Founded in 1950, NORSKOG is a membership-based organisation representing forest owners across Norway. The organisation focuses on policy advocacy and forestry consultancy, with timber trading and forest management managed through its subsidiary, NORTØMMER.

NORSKOG’s core areas of focus include:

It advocates on behalf of forest owners, with a strong commitment to defending private property rights and shaping policies that promote sustainable forest management, ensuring the long-term viability of the sector. With approximately 250 members, NORSKOG represents around 10-15% of Norway's national timber harvest.
