Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP) has published FTP Call Topics Manual on Horizon Europe funding opportunities 2021-2022 relevant for the forestry sector.

On 17 December 2020, FOREST EUROPE published the State of Europe’s Forests 2020 report (SoEF 2020) which presents recent official figures and information on European forests, their management, policies, institutional and legal frameworks in the FOREST EUROPE signatory countries.

This autumn, two reports focusing on the status of European ecosystems were published. The “State of Nature in the EU”, and the “MAES: an EU-wide ecosystem assessment” both provide insights on current trends and challenges faced by European ecosystems, including forest.

In May 2020, two major reports on the State of the World’s Forests 2020 and the Global Forest Resources Assessment 2020 were published by the FAO in paper but also interactive formats.

On 5 May 2020, CEPF, together with six organisations representing the European forestry sector, published a joint letter while the outbreak and spread of COVID-19 is having a significant impact on forests and forestry in a growing number of European regions.

CEPF participated in a conference that addressed the current state of “integrated” forest management approaches, organised by INFORMAR and POLYFORES from 26-28 February 2020 in Bonn, Germany.
