On 29 September 2022, USSE held a conference in Bordeaux on "Southern European forests facing climate change and market challenges". CEPF Secretary General Fanny-Pomme Langue participated to a round table on conserving forests and their biodiversity.

European forest owners express their full solidarity with all people affected by the ongoing terrible droughts and wildfires raging across Europe.

The Meeting of Directors General of Forests organised under the French Presidency of the EU Council took place on 17 – 18 May 2022 in Strasbourg. CEPF Secretary General Fanny-Pomme Langue participated to the meeting.

FAO has published its 2022 report on The State of the World’s Forests. It explores three pathways for forests to contribute to a green recovery and building inclusive, resilient and sustainable economies in a post pandemic world.

The second part IPCC's sixth climate report focusing on climate changes impacts, adaptation and vulnerability was published on 28 February 2022 and the third part with focus mitigation of climate change was released on 4 April 2022.

The winners of LIFE Awards 2021 were announced on 2 June. The forest-related project, LIFE FORECCAsT, won the "Climate Action" category.
