The Pillar II addresses global challenges and increasing the competitiveness of the European industry. The most relevant funding opportunities for the forestry sector are found in Clusters 4, 5 and 6. Cluster 4 is called ‘Digital, Industry and Space’, Cluster 5 is called ‘Climate, Energy and Mobility’, and Cluster 6 is ‘Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment’. Each Cluster has a sub-budget, called Work Programme, that identifies Call Topics for a period of two or three years. In the Manual the Call Topics are rated as high, medium, low or indirect based on their relevance.
