On 27th September, Lëtzebuerger Privatbësch (Luxembourgish Private Forest Owners) celebrated its 90th birthday in Lintgen, Luxembourg. CEPF Secretariat was delighted to participate to this high level and successful event.

The 3rd Forest Academy, organized by Finnish Forest Association, took place in Finland from 20-22 September with the primary aim to bring EU policies closer to the reality of forestry in the Nordic region. CEPF representative participated in the event.

In June 2023, CEPF, Copa-Cogeca, EUSTAFOR and CEJA hosted a joint seminar with EU policymakers, FAO and academia to raise political awareness for Bioeconomy’s return to the central stage in the next EU political cycle. Lively discussions led into a set of policy recommendations.

In September and October 2023, the Spanish Presidency of the Council organised a meeting for EU Nature Directors, in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, and one for the EU Forest Directors, in the Alcornocales Natural Park. CEPF representatives took part in both meetings.

First meeting of the Forest and Forestry Stakeholder Platform covered several important topics including: Soil Monitoring Law, four recently published EC guidelines, and CAP and forestry. CEPF is pleased to contribute as a member, representing European forest owners' interests.

SUPERB project is gathering insight from practitioners on forest restoration and adaptation projects across Europe.
